Police officer charged after making fake guns on 3D printer
Darwin officer charged with 3D-printing two imitation Glock handguns at home.
A 23-year-old probationary constable at Darwin Police Station was charged with weapon crimes this week. Officers saw the officer carrying an imitation Glock handgun while at the station on Wednesday.
Police searched his home and seized a second 3D-printed imitation Glock and a 3D printer. The officer was arrested and charged with two counts of making and having a banned weapon.
He was granted bail and is due to appear in Darwin Local Court on October 27. The officer has been suspended from duty with pay while investigations continue.
