Naomi Dawson's new East Bendigo cafe draws packed crowds
Crumpet, a new East Bendigo cafe run by former Forage Bendigo co-owner Naomi Dawson, exceeded expectations and drew large crowds within two days.
Naomi Dawson chose not to announce the opening of Crumpet, hoping for a soft launch. In just two days, the venue in Prime Business Park has drawn far more customers than she expected.
Dawson was a co-owner of popular Strathfieldsaye cafe Forage Bendigo before it closed on June 27. She named Crumpet after a dog and her heritage.
Specialty iced lattes, banana bread, and cookies and cream are popular; toasties sell out each day.
