Three teens charged after getting trapped on tobacconist roof
Three teenage boys were arrested after breaking into a tobacconist, stealing more than $60,000, and getting trapped on the roof.
About 12:50am Tuesday, police were called to a tobacconist on Alma Road in New Lambton after a break-in. Three teenage boys had broken in, stolen items, and become trapped on the roof.
Police and specialist officers spoke to the boys before helping them down and arresting all three. The three boys were charged with aggravated break and enter and stealing more than $60,000 in goods.
All three were granted conditional bail to appear in Children's Court on October 19.
