Leapmotor doubles overseas sales in eight months of 2026
Leapmotor sold 105,000 vehicles outside China from January to August 2026. This is more than double what it sold overseas in all of 2025.
The Chinese electric carmaker Leapmotor has accelerated its global expansion dramatically. Leapmotor delivered 105,000 vehicles across overseas markets in the first eight months of 2026.
For all of 2025, it sold 47,500 vehicles overseas. This is a 121 per cent increase.
The company sold 103,129 vehicles worldwide in August. This was a record monthly total.
It was up 80.7 per cent from a year earlier. Leapmotor now operates in more than 50 countries across five continents.
It runs over 1,000 sales and service locations outside China. Europe remains its main international market.
But Leapmotor is growing fast in South America, Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia. Australia saw 112 Leapmotor sales in August.
This was up 286 per cent from a year earlier. Four Leapmotor models are now available locally.
