Port Kembla man jailed two years for death threat and stalking
Zejadin Ganiji was jailed two years for death threats, breach of protection orders and stalking.
The man, described as actively delusional, chased down a former neighbour on June 5 in Lake Illawarra after the victim drove away from lights. Ganiji crashed into the back of the victim's car and ran at him while holding what appeared to be a 15-centimetre knife, yelling death threats.
Three weeks later, he breached protection orders again by following a woman to her home and parking outside. Police found him hiding under clothes in his car.
Ganiji had previously worked at BlueScope and spent 83 days on remand. Judge David Williams noted he required specific deterrence.
With a non-parole period of 15 months, Ganiji becomes eligible for release on September 25, 2027.
