Morgan had threatened to kill his heavily pregnant ex-partner. He told her he would smash her head in.
He made similar threats to another person. Morgan handed himself in to police on September 20.
He initially faced bail refusal. Morgan spent 19 days on remand.
He missed his child's birth. The Wodonga court heard Morgan fired a gun at a portrait of another ex-partner while drunk.
This was a charge for using a firearm dangerously. Magistrate Peter Dunn released Morgan without a conviction.
Morgan was ordered to perform 100 hours of community work over 18 months. This work focuses on alcohol treatment and mental health programs.
