Two charged with murder in Daniel Hussein shooting, Melbourne
Two men, aged 19 and 20, have been charged with murder over the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Daniel Hussein in Thomastown.
Hussein was shot in the chest in the carpark of HR Uren Reserve on Sunday evening, dying in front of his friends. Daniel Hussein had driven to the carpark to help mates involved in a brawl with another group.
The two groups had been involved in an ongoing altercation that began in Melbourne's CBD on 4 September. The two men from Donnybrook were arrested in Deer Park on Wednesday; a 19-year-old woman also arrested was released without charge.
Hussein was a plumber who had recently bought a house and become engaged to his partner.
