Man charged with attempted murder after Berkeley Vale home invasion shooting
A 20-year-old arrested at Gosford train station after a man was shot multiple times during a home invasion in Berkeley Vale.
A 37-year-old man was shot multiple times in his hand and torso during a home invasion in Berkeley Vale. The shooting happened on Wednesday morning around 6.15am.
The man's partner was inside the home when the gunman broke in. The man was treated by paramedics and airlifted by Westpac helicopter to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
Police arrested a 20-year-old at Gosford train station the next morning. Officers found cocaine and cannabis when they searched the arrested man.
Hours later, police searched a Penrith house and allegedly found a Glock pistol, eight rounds of ammunition, and other items relevant to the investigation. The 20-year-old has been charged with shooting with intent to murder, firearm and ammunition offences, and drug possession, and was refused bail.
