Three offenders flee after assaulting man in busy Sunshine suburb
A 27-year-old was hit, repeatedly punched and kicked by three offenders on Hampshire Rd in Sunshine, suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
A man was attacked and knocked unconscious while waiting to cross traffic lights on a busy Melbourne street. CCTV footage shows a 27-year-old from Mickleham hit and then repeatedly punched as he lay on the ground.
A second offender joined in, kicking him before the group fled in a white dual cab ute. The victim was taken to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Police believe a verbal altercation preceded the assault. Three offenders, one male and two female, were involved.
The incident happened on Hampshire Rd in Sunshine around 3:30pm on Friday, in an area that has seen recent violent crime. In August, a 60-year-old shopkeeper was fatally attacked outside his store in the same suburb.
Police are seeking witnesses and any additional footage of the attack.
