Ballarat teen remanded in custody over multiple car thefts and high-speed chases

Liajon Dunbar, 18, pleaded guilty in Ballarat court to multiple charges, including recklessly endangering an emergency worker. Dunbar stole two vehicles.
At least one was fitted out for disability access. In February, police tracked one stolen car via GPS as he drove recklessly across Ballarat.
Officers deployed stop sticks near Diggers Rest. But he continued on flat tyres.
He then reversed his stolen car into an unmarked police vehicle to escape. In September, he hit 150kmh in a 60kmh zone.
He was fleeing in the disability-fitted Hyundai before abandoning it. A search of the first car found 1.4 grams of methamphetamine and a small amount of cannabis.
