Smart #5 electric SUV priced from $58,900 as Tesla Model Y rival launches
Smart's #5 mid-size electric SUV arrives in Australia from $58,900 before on-road costs, with deliveries starting November 2026.
Smart's largest electric SUV yet, the #5, will cost from $58,900 (Pro+) and rise to $63,900 (Premium+). The dual-motor Brabus model tops $73,900, all before on-road costs.
Deliveries start November, following high demand: three Australian showrooms are already sold out. The #5 features an 800-volt electrical system that charges from 10 to 80 per cent in 18 minutes.
The #5 carries a five-year vehicle warranty and eight-year battery warranty with 70 per cent health coverage. Euro NCAP gave it five stars; ANCAP has not yet tested it.
Smart is now 50-50 owned by Mercedes-Benz and Chinese automaker Geely. The #5 shares its platform with the Zeekr 7X.
