Teofimo Lopez crashes press conference in fake beard disguise
Newly crowned three-division world champion Teofimo Lopez crashed Friday's boxing press conference as a fake reporter.
Teofimo Lopez, who recently won the WBA welterweight title, snuck into Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn's final press conference at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. He wore a fake beard and wig.
He said he was DAZN reporter Jack Hoffman. He asked Benn about his hair before turning to Garcia.
When Garcia said he needed to beat Teofimo first, Lopez pulled off his disguise and announced who he was. Garcia smiled and lifted his WBC belt in response.
Lopez is now a three-division champion. He wants to face the winner of Garcia-Benn in 2027.
Australian boxer Liam Paro, the IBF welterweight champion, has also been calling out both fighters.
