Coalition widens lead ahead of November Victorian election
A Resolve poll shows Victoria's Coalition at 28% primary vote, Labor at 25%, with the election 11 weeks away on November 28.
Victoria's state election is on 28 November, two and a half months away. A Resolve poll puts the Coalition in a strong position to win.
Whether the Coalition will govern alone or need One Nation support remains unclear. The poll surveyed 1,000 voters between 6 and 12 September.
The Coalition had 28% primary support (up one point), Labor 25% (steady), One Nation 23%, the Greens 12% and independents 8%. In a three-way preferred premier question, Liberal leader Jess Wilson led Ben Carroll on 28% to 20%.
Voters opposed the Suburban Rail Loop on debt-spending grounds. They also opposed Labor's public dental care plan on the same grounds.
