Raheem Sterling admits dangerous driving before Lamborghini motorway crash
Former England footballer Raheem Sterling admitted driving a Lamborghini dangerously on UK motorways in May. He also admitted having six canisters of nitrous oxide.
Sterling, 31, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court. He pleaded guilty to driving a Lamborghini dangerously on the M25, the M3, the A327 and Minley Road.
He crashed into roadside structures in a layby. The crash damaged all four wheels of his car.
Witnesses saw a Lamborghini driver swerving between lanes. They also saw the driver inhaling from a white balloon.
Police found Sterling in the passenger seat when they arrived. He had two nitrous oxide canisters on his lap.
He also admitted failing to provide a breath sample for analysis. Tests showed impairment, though an initial breath test was negative.
