South Australian man charged with alleged online threats to police

A 34-year-old man was arrested. The Australian Federal Police searched his home in the Mid North region.
The man was charged with using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence under the Commonwealth Criminal Code. The charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
The arrest followed social media posts that SA Police referred to the AFP's National Security Investigations team last month. The man was refused bail during a court appearance on Friday.
He is due to appear in Adelaide Magistrates Court on November 5.
