One Nation candidate vows Andrews and Allan face jail if party wins

Mark Nicholson promised Andrews and Allan would be jailed if One Nation wins Victoria's November election.

The threat drew applause at One Nation's campaign launch in Southbank on Saturday, where about 750 party members gathered. Pauline Hanson presented 93 candidates for every seat in Victoria's parliament.

One Nation released a policy document called The Real Deal. The Real Deal plans to scrap the Suburban Rail Loop, cut taxes, make sentences harsher, and lift the state's nuclear ban.

The party has not said what these policies will cost. Latest polls show One Nation at 23 per cent in Victoria, level with Labor and behind the Coalition's 28 per cent.

Why it mattersOne Nation could hold the balance of power in Victoria's upper house, making it a real force weeks before the election. The pledge shows how far political speech has shifted.

AustraliaVictorian voters are choosing between Labor's 12-year incumbency and an insurgent right-wing challenge; One Nation's strong polling could reshape the state's parliament and policy direction on crime, energy, and indigenous affairs.
