Father thrown in court over hammer hurled at car during road rage
Rios pleaded guilty to criminal damage for throwing a hammer at a car during a road rage incident in Buninyong.
Carlos Rios threw a hammer at another driver's vehicle in Buninyong on October 21, 2025. Rios forced the other car off the road after being tailgated.
The other driver grabbed his keys and threw them away. Rios retrieved a hammer and threw it at the vehicle's door.
Both men fought. Rios told police he was "frustrated and humiliated" and told the court he feared for his life.
He pleaded guilty, fined $500 with $300 restitution.
