Operation Mincemeat musical comes to Australia next year

The musical Operation Mincemeat tells a true story set in 1943 during a British Intelligence hoax. The deception changed World War II.
Five actors play 86 different characters in the show. They switch genders and roles throughout.
The production won a Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Musical in 2024. Jak Malone took home a Tony Award when it opened on Broadway earlier this year.
The show opens at Melbourne's Comedy Theatre in September 2027. Further Australian cities will be announced.
The original hoax was created by intelligence officer Ewen Montagu. He wrote a memoir about it in 1953.
