Camperdown Football Netball Club chases $2m to finish oval overhaul
The club needs $2 million of a $2.6 million Leura Oval revamp after the Corangamite Shire pledged $300,000 and the club itself pledged $300,000.
Camperdown Football Netball Club has drawn up plans to transform Leura Oval with updated change rooms, new toilets, and a bigger netball precinct. The work would replace ageing facilities that netball teams now comment on during away matches.
The Corangamite Shire has pledged $300,000 and the club itself $300,000, leaving the $2 million gap. Club coordinator Rob Van de Eynde said the full revamp makes sense as a final piece rather than tackling projects one at a time.
The changes include female-friendly change rooms for visiting teams and better shelter and amenities for netball spectators.
