Driver slumped over wheel as car ricochets into parked vehicle on Bendigo
A driver apparently had a medical issue while at the wheel. This caused a three-car crash on the Midland Highway.
A three-car crash happened on Bendigo's Midland Highway in Epsom. A driver of a blue hatchback seemed to have a medical issue.
A witness told police the driver was slumped over the steering wheel when the crash began. The blue hatchback hit a white SUV.
Then it bounced into an empty white car parked on the roadside. One person was taken to hospital for observation and tests.
The highway was blocked in both directions. Traffic was sent from the BP service station near Taylor Street to the Howard Street intersection.
Police and paramedics came to the scene. Leading Senior Constable Paul Lethlean said a medical issue likely caused the crash.
