Tributes to John Farnham raise funds for head and neck cancer research
Keith Urban and Celine Dion led tributes to John Farnham at a Melbourne concert raising funds for head and neck cancer research.
Musicians from Australia and overseas gathered at Rod Laver Arena to pay tribute to John Farnham. The 77-year-old legend now requires 24-hour care and oxygen support after cancer surgery in 2022.
Keith Urban performed Farnham's 1990 hit Burn for You. Celine Dion appeared on screen from Paris to sing.
Chris Martin, Hugh Jackman, Jessica Mauboy and Human Nature also performed. Richard Wilkins hosted the concert, called The Songs of John Farnham: A Living Legend.
The Lend Your Voice campaign has set out to raise $1 million for Head and Neck Cancer Australia over the next year. Farnham was too unwell to attend.
