Fremantle is close to finalising two coaching appointments including a promotion for Tendai Mzungu to line coach in 2027.
Fremantle is rebuilding its coaching team after losing three assistants. Tendai Mzungu, a former Docker who played 106 games including the 2013 Grand Final, is set to earn promotion to line coach in 2027.
Mzungu has worked as a development coach since 2021, focusing on the team's defenders. The Dockers are also close to securing Nathan Broad, a triple-premiership Richmond player with 191 games, as a development coach.
Broad, 33, recently returned to Western Australia for family reasons. The club lost assistant coach Jaymie Graham to North Melbourne, midfield development coach Todd Curley to West Perth, and WAFL coach Adam Read to Greater Western Sydney.
