Evatto lands funding at Startmate demo day

Sydney event-management startup Evatto raises funding in a pre-seed round led by Purpose Ventures. The company pitched at Startmate.

Evatto builds AI software to replace spreadsheets and manual work in large event planning. Hailey Mason founded the company with Chris Toward.

Mason produced major events for Red Bull, Casio and FIFA over more than 20 years. Toward is an Australian events industry leader.

Mason and Toward launched Evatto in 2025 and pitched at Startmate's summer program. The platform works with the Invictus Games and Canada Snowboard on events like World Cups and the X Games.

Purpose Ventures' funding will go toward product development and hiring. It will also support expansion overseas.

The AI handles event scoping, approvals and documentation. It automates paperwork that ties up large event teams.
