Sullivan and Peltola clash in Alaska Senate race that could tip control
Republican Dan Sullivan and Democrat Mary Peltola debated in Alaska's toss-up Senate race.
The two candidates fought over the Iran war and rising living costs in Alaska on Thursday night. Mary Peltola attacked Sullivan for backing the war while prices soared at home.
Dan Sullivan shot back that Peltola walked through a revolving door to lobbying work after losing her House seat in 2024, and pointed to recent reports of turmoil in her congressional office. Sullivan and Peltola both said the Iran war should end soon, but disagreed on the path.
Sullivan supports Trump's decision to use military force to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons. Peltola said the military should be withdrawn and a peace deal is unlikely to arrive soon.
