Canberra Outlet Centre hosts first fun run through its shops and corridors
A 5km fun run through Canberra Outlet Centre is coming September 26 with five heats for all skill levels.
Runners will weave through the Canberra Outlet Centre on Saturday morning for a unique 5km event starting at 7:30 am. The mapped route runs 500 metres and runners complete ten laps, passing premium shops like Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein.
Five separate heats cater to elite runners targeting under 20 minutes, sub-25-minute runners, sub-30-minute runners, a social pace group, and a 1km junior dash for kids aged five to twelve. The shopping centre agreed to move couches and decorations to clear the route.
It will staff recovery stalls and a Red Bull stand. Organiser Karla Parisotto said she wanted Canberra to experience something it had never done before.
