Police arrest two men over suspected Sydney hit using drone surveillance
Two men arrested after police spotted a drone surveying a property in Rossmore ahead of an alleged planned shooting.
Police said they stopped a fourth fatal shooting in Sydney in under two weeks. Officers got information about a planned shooting in the Rossmore area and immediately put police throughout the location on Thursday night.
Early Friday morning, detectives spotted a drone hovering over a property and suspected it was doing surveillance ahead of a hit. Task Force Falcon detectives arrested two men nearby.
The men are expected to be charged with coordinating surveillance for a serious offence and participating in a criminal group. The city has already seen three fatal shootings in the past 10 days.
