Skipton claims first under-18 flag in CHFL double
Skipton won both under-15 and under-18 premierships on Saturday, their first under-18 flag in the league.
The Emus dominated Saturday's early finals at Mars Stadium, with the under-15 side defeating Waubra 9.15 (69) to 0.6 (6) and the under-18 team beating Bungaree 10.7 (67) to 5.11 (41). The under-18 premiership was the club's first at that level.
Most of the under-18 side were not even top-age, suggesting strong prospects ahead. Lucas Phillips was named best on ground in the under-15 match in his first season after switching from Redan.
Club president Kiernan Molloy praised the community's support and talent development. The seniors reached the preliminary final, narrowly missing a third premiership.
