Mahmud takes Bangladesh seamer record with 6-90 against West Indies

Fast bowler Hasan Mahmud claimed 6-90, the highest ever by a Bangladesh pacer on home soil.

Hasan Mahmud dismantled West Indies on the second day of the second Test, taking 6-90 to help Bangladesh claw back from a first-innings deficit. Mahmud flattened the stumps of Amir Jangoo and captain Roston Chase with back-to-back deliveries, then claimed the wickets of Joshua Bishop and Shamar Joseph.

West Indies were dismissed for 356 after resuming at 235-4. Bangladesh replied with 3-88 at stumps, trailing by 268 runs.

Towhid Hridoy was 29 not out, with Mushfiqur Rahim on 19. Mahmud came close to a hat-trick but Bishop survived a leg-before review.

Offspinner Mehidy Hasan took 2-82.
