Powderfinger reunites for first Australian tour in 16 years
Powderfinger announced a reunion and full Australian tour starting September 2027, 16 years after breaking up.
The Aussie rock legends confirmed the news Friday morning in a video. Frontman Bernard Fanning announced plans to do shows all around Australia from September next year.
Lead guitarist Darren Middleton said they were going to build something pretty special for fans. The announcement came after a week of teaser billboards across Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
An Instagram account called The Return of the Electric Horsemen, a song from their 1996 album Double Allergic, posted the same imagery. The five-member band formed in 1989 and disbanded in 2010.
