Police monitor 70 Comanchero members at Canberra weekend gathering
About 70 outlaw motorcycle gang members are arriving in Canberra this weekend for the group's second known meeting in the capital.
ACT Policing will provide an open presence as roughly 70 Comanchero outlaw motorcycle gang members gather in the capital between Friday and Sunday. Officers from multiple teams will closely watch the group during their stay.
The second known Comanchero meeting in Canberra this year follows a larger 200-member national run and 60th anniversary event in March. Police spent more than $600,000 watching major gang events in the past two years.
Last week, Taskforce Invidia arrested an alleged drug trafficker in Kambah after finding weapons, methamphetamine and a Comanchero jacket at his home.
