Piastri hopes for McLaren rebound at Singapore Grand Prix
Oscar Piastri finished sixth in Malaysia and is hoping McLaren finds better pace for Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix.
Following a difficult Malaysia weekend, Piastri is looking for improvement at Marina Bay. Oscar Piastri's team sent him out on slick tyres in wet conditions at the race start, forcing a pit stop immediately.
Oscar Piastri fought back through the field and said sixth was the best result possible under the circumstances. "We know we've not been as competitive as we would have liked the last couple of weekends," Piastri said.
At certain points in Malaysia, McLaren looked very quick, but the team has struggled to find the right setup consistently this year. Piastri hopes Singapore will allow the team to solve those issues.
George Russell will start from the back of the grid after taking a power unit penalty.
