Golfer Greg Norman switches airlines after Qantas three-hour delay
Golf legend Greg Norman said he's abandoning Qantas after a three-hour flight delay and lack of Wi-Fi on a Sydney-Dallas flight.
Greg Norman, the golf legend who ranked number one for 331 weeks in the 1980s and 1990s, posted on Instagram that he's switching airlines. Norman's flight from Sydney to Dallas was delayed about three hours due to a fuelling issue.
Norman then waited another hour for his bag in Dallas. Norman called the airline 'insane' and 'dated,' criticising the lack of Wi-Fi.
He said Qantas puts profit before customer service. The national carrier was once among the world's top three for travel experience but has lost its way.
Norman praised Emirates in comparison and said he would switch to them instead. Qantas said engineers delayed the flight while fixing the fuelling problem.
