Spring Gully claims double title with extra-time Super Cup win

Spring Gully United women won the Super Cup by defeating Shepparton 4-3 in extra time on Sunday.

Spring Gully United's women's team won both the League 1 championship and Super Cup on Sunday. Shepparton United fell 4-3 after the teams were locked at 2-2 at full-time.

Madeline White scored twice, Paige Conder and Skye Barker added goals for the Reds. Spring Gully had won the championship earlier in the season but lost last year's Super Cup final, so this year's victory gave them the trophy they wanted.

Coach Carrie Sabranksy praised the team's effort in difficult conditions.
