Jackson Clarke and Cam Wilson tied for the Morris Medal after a thrilling final-round count.
Wangaratta co-captain Clarke grabbed two votes in the final round on Monday night to tie Wilson in a thrilling count at Albury. Wilson had led on 20 votes going in, but Clarke's two-vote haul in the Pies' 78-point win over Wodonga brought him level.
The shared medal marks the second consecutive season the Morris Medal has been won by multiple players: last year three players tied on 19 votes. Before last year, the league had not seen back-to-back multiple winners since 1975, '76 and '77.
Wodonga's Adam Jorgensen finished third on 17 votes. Clarke is a 30-year-old Pies junior who plays as a midfielder-forward, kicking 25 goals in 16 regular season games.
