A woman camping with her husband and two children near Skookumchuck Reservoir Dam in Washington heard strange noises outside their tent in the evening. At first she thought another camper was walking to the bathroom.
The creature walked in a steady, rhythmic pattern and passed within 5 feet of her tent. The woman sat gripping a pistol in the dark, listening to footsteps circle another family's tent.
The stride length was about 3.5 to 4 strides across the width of her tent. She reported the incident to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, describing the gait as too consistent and upright for a bear.
The land was completely isolated with gates and security guards.
