Girl in state care dies days after her bed was shut
A 17-year-old in Victoria's state care died from carbon monoxide poisoning two days after her family alleged her care bed was closed.
A teenager in Victoria's state residential care was found dead in an abandoned house without running water or power. She and her 26-year-old boyfriend died from carbon monoxide poisoning, believed caused by a barbecue.
Her family alleged her bed at Berry Street was closed with less than a day's notice two days before her death. Her family said she had been targeted for abuse since entering state care at 14.
A coronial inquest is ongoing.
