Reece Hignell launches raspberry lamington sparkling rosé at Dan Murphy's

The TV chef and Cakeboi owner created a limited-edition sparkling rosé. It was inspired by a classic lamington cake.

Reece Hignell is a MasterChef Australia favourite and Newcastle business owner. He has started a wine company called Patisserie Wines, based in Newcastle.

The Patisserie Raspberry Lamington Rosé is now stocked at 130 Dan Murphy's stores across Australia. Hignell was involved in every step.

He created the flavours, picked the grape variety, and designed the label. The wine is lightly sparkling at 8% ABV.

It has notes of raspberry, jam, coconut and vanilla. The wine is a bit on the sweeter side.

It's not as sweet as moscato, though, and has a summer spritzy vibe, Hignell said. Patisserie Wines launched in 2025 to explore dessert-inspired flavours.
