Macklemore's exit from Ed Sheeran's Loop tour sent ticket prices for his solo shows jumping higher than expected. The cheapest seats for his October show at Red Rocks in Colorado went up 45% in just three days this week.
Ticket tracker TicketData reported the change. Macklemore was dropped from the tour after making pro-Palestine comments during a MetLife Stadium show in New Jersey on September 4.
Stadium owners said they would cancel remaining dates unless he was cut. Macklemore announced he'll give his $1 million in tour earnings to Palestinian aid groups.
Other artists, including Finneas and Aaron Rowe, also left the tour in support. Meanwhile, resale prices for Sheeran's own remaining shows have actually gone down.
