Victorian Opposition Leader Jess Wilson pledges $100m for Albury hospital expansion including 50 acute beds and youth mental health facilities.
Jess Wilson told The Border Mail she will invest an extra $100 million in Albury hospital if the Liberal and Nationals win Victoria's November election. The money brings back services cut from an earlier plan.
It includes 50 acute beds built through modular wards, a multi-storey car park, and a clinical services building with a helipad, paediatric ward, and operating theatres. The hospital is already going through a $558 million redevelopment backed by both NSW and Victorian governments.
Wilson also pledged funding for a feasibility study. Within 12 months of winning, it will decide whether Albury hospital should stay where it is or move to a new place.
