Jas Garner opens up four-vote lead in AFLW player award race
Jas Garner leads the AFLW Coaches Award on 41 votes, four clear of second, after picking up seven votes in round five.
Garner edged further ahead of teammate Ash Riddell and Hawthorn ruck Lucy Wales, who are both on 37 votes. Wales collected nine votes in the Hawks' win over the Western Bulldogs.
In round five, five players earned a perfect 10: Gold Coast's Charlie Rowbottom, Geelong's Georgie Prespakis, West Coast's Ella Roberts, Sydney's Chloe Molloy and Fremantle's Kiara Bowers. Harriet Cordner was voted best on ground in Carlton's loss to North Melbourne, picking up eight votes, while Isabel Bacon and Maeve Chaplin both earned nine.
Coaches give votes on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis each week, with 10 the maximum per player per round.
