Nate Palubiski won the world under-21 clay target title in Portugal in July despite brutal heat. The teenager finished 13th out of 1,000 shooters in the open type at the same event.
This was different for a junior. Nate now shoots at the national championship this weekend at West Wodonga Shooting Complex on the Border.
His father is Simon Palubiski, a two-time Corowa-Rutherglen premiership footballer. Simon taught him about getting ready and mental focus.
The family runs a shooting range on their farm. Nate thanks staying steady, eating right, sleeping well and drinking enough water.
These things help him do well. He won the Border's Young Achiever Award.
