Abhishek Sharma scored 100 off just 30 balls, the fastest T20 century between any two Test-playing nations.
The 26-year-old smashed 100 off 30 balls to fire India to 7-221 against Afghanistan on Thursday. Sharma's hundred broke the previous record of 33 balls, set by New Zealand's Finn Allen against South Africa earlier this year.
Sharma finished with 108 off 34 balls, hitting 11 sixes and nine fours. Opening partner Sanju Samson struck 50 off 35 balls as the pair put on 142 runs off 59 balls.
Afghanistan collapsed to just 94 all out in reply, with spinners Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Patel combining for five wickets. The dominant victory completed India's sweep of the three-match series.
