Royal Australian Mint releases limited-edition Floriade bluebell coin in
The Royal Australian Mint is issuing a bluebell-marked $1 coin for Floriade 2026; visitors can press their own during the four-week run.
Starting September 12, the Mint joins Canberra's Floriade festival with a special coin featuring an ACT bluebell privy mark. The Royal Australian Mint is changing its gallery coin presses mid-year for the first time.
Visitors can mint their own coins and watch the machinery at work. One lucky visitor will get to mint the very first coin at a Saturday launch event.
From 7:30 am, visitors receive numbered wristbands with one drawn at random for the honour. The special mark is available for four weeks only.
Saturday's event includes live music, food trucks, face painting, and a coin swap where collectors can exchange cash for rare and coloured circulating coins.
