Lisa Silson committed to trial over Jerilderie death
Lisa Anne Silson has pleaded not guilty to murdering Mark Akers and will face trial in the NSW Supreme Court.
Lisa Anne Silson appeared in Albury Local Court on Tuesday and entered a not guilty plea to a domestic violence-related murder charge. Judge Sally McLaughlin committed her to stand trial in the NSW Supreme Court.
Silson is also charged with being a driver never licensed, relating to the same date as Akers's death. Mark Akers, 44, was found next to the Newell Highway on June 17, 2025.
The Crown alleges he was struck by a car the previous day and suffered critical injuries. He was last seen alive at a Jerilderie service station on June 16, 2025, at about 2.30am.
Silson is being held bail refused and appeared at the hearing via video link from jail. Her Supreme Court arraignment is scheduled for November 6, 2026.
