Footballer Dylan Goddard dies at 18
Dylan Goddard, 18, who won an under-18 premiership last month, has died this week.
Bridgewater Football Netball Club is grieving the death of Dylan Goddard, 18, a member of the club's under-18 premiership team that won the Loddon Valley league flag last month. The team had defied underdog odds, coming from 27 points down to win by 20 points.
Dylan, wearing number one, kicked a goal and was named among the best players in the side. Club president Tim Ferguson described him as the larrikin of the group, for sure, with a grin from ear to ear.
He was a dedicated player who had signed on for next season. Dylan was in his final year at Marist College, where he held the role of Applied Learning captain and won Student of the Year for automotive studies.
Tributes have flowed from Bridgewater, Castlemaine and Maiden Gully clubs, where he had also played, as well as from the school community.
