Chester Zoo accidentally sold 'child predator' tour tickets in naming mix-up

A 90-minute predator tour was mistakenly sold as 'Child Predator Tour' and 'Adult Predator Tour' due to a system default.

Chester Zoo in northwest England made an embarrassing labelling error on its Predator Tour tickets. The 90-minute tour lets guests see Sumatran tigers, lions, rhinos and Komodo dragons away from crowds.

A default naming system in the zoo's ticketing platform created the mix-up. Tickets were sold as 'Child Predator Tour' and 'Adult Predator Tour' based on visitor age groups.

Staff quickly fixed the error. Tickets now sell as 'Adult Tour' for £30 and 'Child Tour' for £25.

The error drew heavy mockery on social media. Users found the blunder funny rather than alarming.

The zoo told the BBC the mistake happened and was corrected fast.

Why it mattersA reminder that even big organisations can stumble over automated systems, and sometimes the internet turns a genuine goof into harmless fun.

AustraliaNo direct Australian effect, but it shows how quick an embarrassing naming error can spread online and how audiences react with humour instead of outrage.
