Canberra's SpringOUT pride festival is back for its 27th year. The festival runs five weeks from 23 October to 1 December.
On 23 October, a new portrait of drag performer Courtney Act will debut at the National Portrait Gallery, followed by a Q&A with artist Paul Yore. The main event is Fair Day on 31 October at Glebe Park.
It is free and family-friendly with over 80 stalls, food trucks, entertainment and local LGBTQIA+ artists. This year adds two quiet spaces for people who prefer a calmer vibe.
Other highlights include a comedy gala, pride sports at Lyneham Sports Precinct, and a one-night show by Mary Kinani. The theme is 'Be Yourself'.
