Wodonga Raiders won back-to-back A-grade netball premierships, defeating town rivals 53-50 in a thrilling grand final.
Wodonga Raiders claimed their second A-grade premiership in as many years. The Raiders edged Wodonga Bulldogs 53-50 at Lavington on Sunday.
The Raiders led 32-23 at half-time but the Bulldogs fought back in the final quarter. Maggie St John won best on court for her tireless play.
She had recently recovered from pneumonia. Coach House, in her ninth season, reflected on the unlikely back-to-back success.
Both the playing group and club are proud to have dared to dream of winning two flags in a row. The Raiders' fourth consecutive grand final appearance marks a remarkable turnaround for a club that was struggling to make finals almost a decade ago.
