Wollongong's Amigos opens new home in Dapto
Amigos Mexican Restaurant opened at Groundz Precinct in Dapto on August 28. It moved south after closing its Shellharbour branch in January.
Wollongong's longest-running restaurant has moved to Dapto. Amigos Mexican Restaurant now runs an upstairs dining area at Groundz Precinct with views of the oval.
Owner Owen Langton said the team liked the precinct's strong local backing and exciting plans. The Dapto site uses a food truck model but still serves tacos, nachos and frozen margaritas.
Amigos first grew to Shellharbour in 2019 before closing in January 2025.
