The all-rounder only has a sore right shoulder. The Australian camp is prioritising his fitness for next month's three-Test series against South Africa.
Josh Hazlewood is also being rested ahead of that series. Xavier Bartlett and Spencer Johnson return to the seam attack for today's match.

He also had a lengthy hit in the nets on Friday but will not play. Both Green and Hazlewood are expected to return for the three one-dayers against South Africa.
